be affected, as the counter work during office hours does not
permit leisure to perform this work in office.
I reached my maximum salary of Class 1l on
the first January, 1905, and have no prospect of further in-
-crement.
As my colleague at Singapore draws a salary
of £480 rising to $480 per annum, i submit that my application
to be placed in Class I is not extravagant.
As you are in a position of comparing the
work of the Superintendent here and of that at Singapore i trust
you will favourably recommend this application for His Excel-

Superintendent, Money Order
Office.
